Dear Neighbors, My concern for our neighborhood and the citizens of Ingham County has driven me to help develop sound public policies which will enhance the lives of all of our citizens. I understand that good government means working together to maintain and improve the quality of life for all citizens. With my leadership, infrastructure concerns have been addressed through the County Road Commission, with the resurfacing of Waverly Road which should be completed in 2009. Through my leadership, uninsured residents have been given access to health care and recreational opportunities have been expanded with the expansion of Hawk Island Park. I continue to work on improvements to the adult and juvenile justice systems and have been instrumental in approving a living wage policy for Ingham County which rewards work and helps lift families out of poverty. I want to continue to provide the citizens of Ingham County with positive leadership, and as a teacher, to represent the needs of our children in these challenging financial times. I am seeking your support for re-election to a 5th two-year term. By working together, we can continue to make Ingham County a great place to live in, work in, and to raise a family in. |
